Designed as a waiting bench for the family courtrooms in India, this customized piece of furniture is envisioned as a way to promote its user’s emotional comfort in a courtroom. The curved form enhances visual proximity and the high back with its wooden texture provides a sense of comfort, making the surroundings less threatening.

‘Close’ for family courtroom was designed as an academic project for Masters at CEPT University under the guidance of Anand Belhe and Kaulav Bhagat.
